These are often bland sandy locations about 60+ feet deep, thus safe for ships, and do not attract tourists as much as there are mostly no attractive coral heads and little fish life. What we've found digging in the sand amount to trash thrown overboard, or maybe strewn contents of small shipwrecks. A single trading bead can often be found per hour of diving but the biggest find we had was the hilt of a sword and a flint lock mechanism of a gun, after 10 years of searching, and usually only after some hurricane had just past through, great for churning up debris. Others have found buckles, buttons and the occasional coin. There is one coral crusted cannon that is hard fixed on a head and thus never salvaged.
